Why work with a pain coach?
Pain Coaches specialize in helping individuals manage chronic pain specifically. We address not only the physical aspects of pain but also the psychological, emotional, and social factors that contribute to an individual’s pain experience.
While therapists and physicians may address pain as part of their practice, pain coaches have a specialized focus on understanding and addressing the unique challenges associated with living with chronic pain. We provide self-management tools and a comprehensive hub of resources and self-management tools, designed to foster resilience.
Our Approach
Biopsychosocial Model of pain
The biopsychological model of pain embodies a paradigm shift in healthcare. Historically, our healthcare system has viewed(and treated) acute and chronic pain in the same way and primarily from a biomedical model. We now understand that pain is complex and multidimensional. The core of the biopsychosocial approach to pain management is determining each individual’s needs across the biological, psychological, and social realms and tailoring a pain care plan that addresses that individual’s needs.
